Wilderness Retreat

An old fashioned recluse

Picture yourself in a cozy tent, surrounded by the sounds of the jungle—chirping birds, rustling leaves, and the soft wind making its way into the jungle. Both our National parks, Bardia and Chitwan, offer unique camping experiences, where you can connect with nature and enjoy the thrill of wildlife spotting right from your campsite.

Trip outline

The region of Chitwan has a sub-tropical climate and is the best place for big animals and a myriad of birds to flourish. With a chance to see Asian elephants, One-Horned Rhinos and a mix of native and migratory birds, the camping package for Chitwan offers an uncanny low-land experience, more popular among the local travelers.

The real treat, with fewer people making the long journey to Bardia National Park, the camping experience is equally thrilling but more remote and untamed. Here, the dense forests and grasslands are teeming with wildlife, including elephants, deer, and the elusive tiger. Nighttime brings a different kind of magic, as the campfire flickers and the starry sky provides a mesmerizing backdrop. With no noise or sound pollution, this remote recluse offers an experience made for the adventurers.

The best time to camp is anytime but summer (May- July), spring (March - May) and autumn (Sep - Nov) , when the skies are clear, and the weather conditions are perfect is highly recommended. Both parks offer unique camping experiences, with guided walks, canoe rides and cultural tours.

Trip Highlights:

  1. Easy access to both trips from Kathamdnu or Pokhara
  2. Licensed tour guides and approved camping sites.
  3. Panoramic views of the Annapurna and Macchapuchre Region
  4. Can be done at any time of the year but Sep-Nov, Mar - May & May- July are recommended.
  5. Can be added into your Chitwan or Bardia Stay
